Max Zaher
Hi Guys, does anyone have experience with a Reed EPIC on a SteadiCam Flyer. Does that work and could you recommend it? Thank you for sharing! MAX
Premium Members Matthew L. Perez Posted May 25, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 25, 2013 I just had a job with one. You can do it depending on what model you have really allows how much weight you fly. What model of the Flyer do you have? You just need to know what accessories you will be using with the rig as well as lenses. I would recommend powering the camera threw the sled. Premium Members Joe Lawry Posted May 25, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 25, 2013 I've had an Epic with no side handle, just an LCD, loaded with Zeiss Standards, LMB5, 90wh VLock, BFD, Decimator, Lockit, Teradek Bolt all on a Flyer LE. 2x 160wh batteries on the bottom of the sled. Just at the top end of LE's weight limit. I could have probably made it lighter if i didnt have a battery up top. But then, I would have needed an interesting cable combo to power all those accessories and the camera off the 1 lemo power out at the topstage. It worked.. Not ideal at all though.

Premium Members Victor Lazaro Posted May 25, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 25, 2013 You'll want the last one with modulus and wireless focus (which is the only difference web tween the packages). You will also need a down converter like a decimation for the wireless tap.
