Perhaps even mounted on your sled (for scale)? Who knows, it might be great, but with that name affiliated, buyer beware! I'm sorry Eric if this is getting away from your original post about your new product (which sounds great). I just wouldn't want people to confuse your new recorder with the one being touted by the infamous Steve Byro. Brooks Robinson PS As I mentioned above, I don't know anything about the Chasecam product. I do however have extensive knowlege of Steve Byro. I find it curious that he would attempt to hijack Eric's thread (about his new recorder) to pitch some unknown rival product not associated with Eric's: all without signing his name, and instead using his company name (spectrabei). One would assume that is due to all his bad press on this forum (and word of mouth), and that he is attempting to sell some product without disclosing that he is the one selling it. Sneaky sneaky! I would love to see a picture or two showing relationship to screen location, connector positions, ext. 'what sort of menu system is involved with selecting takes, repeating them, deleting them, editing cuts together, pulling up designated freeframes to display against live frames, . I have a avery small, very high quality Dsnap camera that works wonders but is a little slow using the menu system abased on a Pansonic DSnap camera with a useable monitor but it must be kept powered to avoid going through a menu selection process to set desired vidio inputs . Hoping yours is more intuitive and practical. With a liite more info on physical setup and typical operation I am in to order one. Premium Members RobVanGelder Posted June 12, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 12, 2005 just a rough calculation: This S-DVR is $ 1150,- and needs a CF card that ranges from $ 70 (1Gig) to $ 1400,- (8Gig) (Amazon) So total cost excluding shipping and import tax when not in US is $1220,- to $2550,- ....... :blink: Sure, these prices will drop even more, specially on the High Capacity cards, but for me it is unthinkable at this moment to buy something like this. So many tiny DV-cams with AV-input still available at half the price.... (which give at the end still a better picture then any HDD or CF card based system ) And then there is so much in development now in the Ipod-like market!
