Premium Members Michael Wilson Posted June 30, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 30, 2013 I bought this vest used a couple of years ago. Im not sure the manufacturer. It is very flimsy and squeaks quite a bit. But pretty comfortable. It is so light. Looking to find resources for materials to beef up the vest. I'm not even sure where to start. Here are a few things I'd like to do. I'd like to put a metal plate across the waistband portion as the socket block flexes when I move. There is a small metal plate there at the moment, but it only extends a couple inches away from the center spar on either side. I want to put straps on the back that connect and tighten the upper and lower portions of the vest. New padding and probably ratchets for the waist band. Its just velcro now. Premium Members Thomas Crescenzo Posted July 2, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 2, 2013 I think I have a couple Master Series ratchets laying around. They are yours if you want em.
Premium Members Chris Van Campen Posted July 2, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 2, 2013 Not sure if this would work for your vest, but Tiffen actually sells the back straps for pretty cheap: http://www.tiffen.com/displayproduct.html?tablename=steadicam&itemnum=250-7845
