Just a shout out to the Peeps of Pro GPI.

At cinegear Jack measured for whenever i decided to get myself a new vest. After many many years of using Master Vests backmounted vest and some other vests, i wasnt sure if i would go for it. Spoke with several ops, try'd a NON fitting vest, and decided to go for it. Did a lot of jobs with it, and after a few weeks, a few 12+ hour day's, i can truly say i just LOVE that vest. Oh boy, it was just the same as when i got a loaner PRO arm for the first time, the difference is so major, i cant describe it enough. Looking for a new vest? Make sure to give the PRO vests a good change, its gonna be my last vest for sure......

I may be slow, but i just can't seem to get the adjusted under load even with an assistant...how do you adjust and tighten the shoulder bolts? what comes first adjusting the shoulder strap bolts or the velcro in the back?

The center spar is lined up with my chest bone, and the hip pad is just even with the hip bone, but the arm mount is so high that my right eblow and forearm pretty much rest on the lower arm (pin) as I fly (normal, not goofy)

Just so frustrated with not getting the fit right...but it is better than wearing an Ultra2 vest.

I agree the PRO vest rocks! It does take time to get it pefect for your body though but just keep fiddeling ..it will fit just right eventually , and yes under load it sets down a bit lower so that tweak also helps ,I find with full load you should be able to move your legs up to tummy hight without any problems but I guess all to their own, great vest.

  • it never bothered me that you can't change the height of the socket block. changing that also means you will be changing the point (lever) where the weight is distributed into the vest, i would rather change the gimbal post or j-bracket to raise or lower the sled, plus your arms are only so long to reach the gimbal anyway....

Sorry marco, been a while for me on this forum for several reasons :-)

It don't bother me at all. The boomrange of the pro is so big and that arm is so easy to fly that i don't need to adjust the socket block hight. Never did.

I do use a ibaird bracket ( is that the right name? ) to lower my socket block, and jack modified my vest so i open it op from the right. Greaaaaaattttttt work from pro as usual :-)
