Hello,

Can someone give us a return of experience on the use of the Alexa Studio on Steadicam ?
Are there any special mounting plates for this camera ?
I own the cam-jam.de bracket that attaches to the classical alexa, but by downloading the manual of the alexa studio this morning, it did not seem to attach the same way! did I wrong?
Thanks.

The Studio has the same base as the Arricam ST and LT.

I use this plate http://www.cinematicprecision.com/steadicam-operator-accessories-

It fits Alexa and Alexa Studio and works great on the Alexa M and Mini with heavy lenses like a Hawk 45-90 Zoom.

Thanks Ben, I actually ended up buying this plate in the middle of 2015 for a feature on an Alexa Studio and I love it.

Hi Stew,

here is a setup with an Alexa M. I'm sure it works with Mini as well.

The plate is mounted backwards to the camera body, the front end of the 15 mm rods is locked to the plate with an adjustable 15 mm lens support bracket turned upside down and screwed into plate where the locking pin usually is.

A rocksolid vibration free build. I ended up with a 45-90 Hawk zoom on the camera worked like a charm.
