This was my response to Ruben - Well, it's a reflection of how you see yourself. If you are secure about how good you actually are, you don't need to be an obnoxious bully. This guy is obviously not very good, and knows it.

Do you remember when the Steadicam operator fell over backwards as the Jamaican sprinters were celebrating their relay victory ? They all stopped and helped the guy up.

They are the best the world has, and their attitude shows it.

This sad little condom malfunction will soon be a distant memory. This was probably his way of trying to make it to the news. He knows his playing ability is unlikely to do much in that direction.

For me, it's like the situation with Lil' Wayne when he tried to go off on David Svenson: I'm sure the operator is doing everything that's appropriate right now, and something tells me the right people are pissed off that it happened. I'll be happy to hear the resolution, but I'll withhold my outrage until I see what happens. What the footballer did was egregious, but what's done is done, and hopefully the operator, his employer, his coworkers and everyone on "his side" are acting fast to deal with it and re-establish the good faith of that job as a safe work environment.

Gear is meaningless. I've never held, owned or seen a piece of gear that couldn't be replaced.

That assault- and it is an assault- which I watched 3 or 4 times now is the key issue. This fellow could have gone from no major injuries to a broken neck and paralysis / death. Take it from the guy who broke his back and for a while was unable to operate until the Exovest was invented. ( Injury not job related )

When one crosses the very bright line from amoral thoughts to amoral actions, a moral society has no choice but to take action. I wonder just how moral the Professional Football ( soccer ) league is and the team that he is contracted with is.

We will see.

At least the Steadicam operator didn't flail around on the ground holding some body part whining in pain like the "Footballers".

This player needs a boot in his ass. As for his compadres what a bunch of classless elitist bullies. Not one player stops to help him up. AND THEY LAUGH about it......

Lets see if the team or the league even publicly acknowledge it.

I have to say this is the one time I'm glad that the US is overly litigious.

You won't believe this. Here's the same event with French commentary and an audience that applauds and thinks this is funny!

Yeah, they call Ezequiel a "Farceur" means "Joker" and laugh about the joke...then they talk about the camera "worth at least 5000.-". All those comments are a joke and nothing less then discusting, like the whole attack. They all didn´t got how serious it can be to fall over like that with a rig attached to the body.

Speak out on Twitter to his team and sponsors. If you have an account the following pre-composed tweet covers the bases:

RT if you think @PochoLavezzi should be punished for purposefully tripping a Steadicam operator. @PSG_inside @Nike @OoredooQatar @QNBGroup

Not to be picky but they say Cent Mille Euros (1.000 Euros), not Cinq mille euros (5.000 Euros). But they end with, He doesn't give a fuck, for him (the player) it's a day of salary. (I'm french btw)

I think this action, if done to an player of the opposing team would have been worth of a suspension, so why not in this situation? It baffles me.

Also it looks that it was quite unfortunate as the spotter/cable wrangler was looking back managing the bnc on the floor and could not stop him.
