Mounting SmallHD DP7 HB to Pro Monitor Arm

Is anyone mounting the new SmallHD High Bright on a Pro Monitor Arm?

I haven't been able to find any good mounts that go to a Pro Spud. Pro doesn't make one and I've left multiple messages/e-mails for Howard at MK-V without hearing anything back.

 

What are you using?

If there aren't any good solutions, is there any interest in having Pro make a custom CNC'd batch?

Transvideo make one I think. I have one I used to mount a SmallHD DP7 to my sled.

Benjamin, I will be curious to hear what Transvideo has to say. I called them last week about the possiblilty of a mount for my Nebtek

Solar 7. I was told "No way. we have nothing". I mentioned that they had a lot of mounts on the web site and maybe I could come in and check them out. He said if I was living in LA I could possibly come by. "Great, when can I come by?" "We'll call you".

 

I have not heard from them since.

Transvideo mounting systems are designed for Transvideo monitors.

 

There are 2 Transvideo entities:

- Transvideo SA, main office, in France

- Transvideo Intl, sales offices for USA, in LA

The Cam Jam monitor yoke works with the SmallHD HB. The regular version of yoke fits PRO/XCS mounts where the spud would go. Or get the full Quattro mount and be done with it.

The "yoke only" uses your existing monitor arm.

The Quattro Monitor Arm is all you need between centerpost and monitor.

I hear that the Cam-Jam works with the DP7, but I haven't tested it myself.

Would you say that you get less vibration with the Quattro rail system than with the Cam Jam on the pro spud mount?

I too would like to know this. The Pro telescoping monitor arm seems very rigid.

Ended up getting the Cam Jam and mounting it on the Pro monitor arm. Haven't been rocking it long, but it's very rigid. Very happy with it.

That being said, I haven't used the Quattro.

I use the Quattro as well as the bottom mount. Really worth the price in design and quality.
