Premium Members Osvaldo Silvera SOC Posted January 5, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 5, 2014 Hi folks, I know it may have been discussed before, but I wonder if someone makes a solid ( great, fantastic, The Bees Knees) Camera plate to use with Sony/Panasonic Broadcast cameras that drops right into the GPI/Pro DB2/3 Donkey Boxes? Is the Cam-Tec the best one out there? Does anyone use it with the Pro 2 or 3 Donkey Box?, What does that plate weigh configured for the Sony Broadcast line of cameras? Rigid. Has built in rod mounts and can also be used with the Alexa, securing both the front, and the rear shoe. It's extremely versatile. I couldn't tell you the weight, exactly. It's heavier than a regular PRO plate simply due to its length, but it's a hell of a lot lighter than the old quick release plate alternative. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Of course with your own dovetailplate, that fits well to your topstage. NOT Simon Blouin Posted January 9, 2014 Report Share Posted January 9, 2014 (edited) Just a heads up, I tried the camtec with my DBII and it didn't work. The plate seems too thick to be clamped in the DBII. When I tried to tighten the plate, it didn't stop slipping after tightening as much as I could the DB tightning screw.
