Center post for prolite base

Does anyone know of a modern replacement center post that will work with a prolite base? I'm having a hell of a time with vibration on this old post when it's extended any significant amount. Basically any job with a larger camera like an Alexa.

 

Of course the other option is a whole new rig basically...which may also be the best option.

Well I've discovered it is a Pro2 extendable center post with bayonet mount. Is there a significant upgrade going with the newer generation Pro posts regarding stiffness? Especially telescoping

the new post is significantly better , it slides much more easily and locks and is much stiffer overall. I would say it was well worth the money, the collar locks on the newer J boxes top and bottom are also better, with more threads of engagement and seem to stay dome up tight without any tweaking for months at a time.

Hi there, if you have a Prolite with the quick release top and bottom base, make sure that when you get a new post that your knurled rings are the thick ones for the longer threads on the new style posts. At some point in the past, the pro posts went from less threads on the ends to more threads and the locking collars also got thicker.
