I recently upgraded my backup Cinemonitor HD6 Evo SBL with their newly available E-SBL screen update, which is an AR coated optically bonded Glass & Matrix screen. The upgrade is available for the Classic 6" sbl and the 6" and 8" Evo sbl Monitors. http://www.transvideo.eu/News_Enhanced-Superbright The upgrade was done in 1/2 a day and it was very affordable at only $650 for that specific 6" model. At the same time the soft and firmware was upgraded to the latest version, which included the "Avenger Level" for free. A minor software bug was discovered in testing and was resolved with the help of the engineers at the Transvideo factory in France. They put a lot of one on one time in with me as well as custom cables when I had my two Clipper sleds to make their tally system work with the Tiffen style tally sensor and wiring. My 6" CinemonitorHD Evolution SuperBright has never failed in five years of work, travel and shipping. Is there an upgrade option for that monitor too? Curious as to why you didn't go the full way and have the screen swapped for the 2000nit one at the same time instead of just having the glass bonded option? Richard James Lewis Posted March 9, 2014 Report Share Posted March 9, 2014 (edited) It was my understanding from speaking with Jacques a while ago that the SBL and the eSBL could be swapped out to the 2000nit screen. I was sent some prices. It's the same screen just a different backlight. I'm not too familar with the variations of the SBL tho, so maybe the earlier ones are different somehow? I had my e-sbl upgraded and bought an extra x-sbl at the same time. Fantastic monitors. Rick.
