I have a Transvideo 8" on our Pro CIneLive.

The real estate is great. We currently haven't run into a situation where we didn't have the room to maneuver with it.

Do we wish we would have purchased something smaller, yes and no. The trade off in size and weight is worth it most of the time. Will we be purchasing a 6" version? Most likely yes, just to be able to get into tighter places.

Can't say enough good about Transvideo though regardless of the size you choose. We like the Horizon2, it has every feature you could ever want in a monitor and I think it will even make a latte if you push the right button combination while standing on your head in low mode.

Most of our work is inside so I don't have a lot of wind experience.

My first HD monitor was a Nebtek Solar 7" HD, which I loved until they stopped making certain electronics for that model. I looked and debated monitors for almost a year and I went with the Transvideo 8" XSBL. I found it was harder to go down in size to the 6" from using a 7" thats why I went with the 8." Yes, it is larger and some say the larger the monitor the more of a "sail" it can be in windy environments but I have not had these issues. The Transvideo does an awful lot, as it should for the price tag but I have been very happy overall for the 5 months since purchase. If you work at all in broadcast/ multicam its a fantastic choice. Definitely worth a demo.
