Dampening if definitely not needed With those long lenses. The more precise the settings, the more precise the ability to maintain the subject in the frame. You have, however, answered my question. Plus it 3 axis Their video shows quite a bit of lag from the time the wheels are moved till the camera moves. The PLC demo shows almost zero lag in their demo video.
