Gustavo Triviño
Hi everybody: Yesterday I worked with Maradona!! It was my first time working with him. Now Maradona has his own TV show here in Argentina that will begin next Monday. Anybody has worked with him ? Best to all, Gus. PS: I learned hate the cables...and the wind! Premium Members Jason Torbitt Posted August 16, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 16, 2005 Hi Gus I saw some clips of Maradonna's show this evening on BBC News here in the UK. They showed the clip where he met Pele in the studio area. Was it you on the steadicam? Some nice shots, however it looked like the camera was on a triax cable? The shot looked like it was being affected by drag from the cable slightly, I know the triax is a nightmare with Steadicam- try attaching it to the shoulder of the vest with a good loop spare between you and the camera. Also try getting hold of some lightweight triax to make it a bit easier. Maradonna's certainly lost some weight!
Gustavo Triviño
Hi Jason, Not, I only worked in exteriors filming some clips, not on the studio, but I saw that they were working with triax cables. When I work with a Triax, I do this big loop and I discovered that turning the triax towards the left or right (depending the pan of the camera), I obtain that the camera stay in good balance. anyway like you said: " cables are a nightmare with Steadicam" but don´t forget our friend the wind :D Best, Gus. Premium Members Leigh Hubner Posted August 21, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 21, 2005 Hi Guys Just a quickie re: triax cables. I know I wont be the first to offer this but I am about to get a triax header cable made up. (a light weight cable that stays connected to your vest so you can unplug form the main cable but still leave the steadicam and camera still attached etc.) Its a very light cable and is all brand new. If anyone thinks they may want one, send me an email. I think they are about $580 Australian. The tech making them up likes to do several at once, make it worth his while! Just an idea. I did the Finale of Big Brother last week here in Australia and we had 4 different plugs we needed to change to at various times. It was this job that inspired the order of a header cable!! Ok, chat soon. Leigh Hubner Australia

Premium Members Lars Erik Posted June 9, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 9, 2010 I know he still is this football god in Argentina, but from what I can see and hear in the news, the guy seems like a total dick. I loved the clip where he drove over a photographer foot and injured him, where he then instead of asking how if the photographer was ok, went on to verbally abuse the photographer for standing where he could be driving.
