Looking for critiques

Recommended Posts

I've got a video taken of me shooting my final exam at a workshop. I know the norm is to look at someone's footage from a shot, but all I have for now is footage of me shooting a shot. I don't know how much critique is possible from just that, but I thought I'd put it out there and see.

Any comments are appreciated. Thanks a ton!

when you start walking with the rig, it appears as though you are not 'feathering' just just start walking. this will cause a bit of a jar in the shot. try pushing the sled out a beat before you start your hip movement. keep practicing. hours a day man :D

Some things never change. I took that workshop almost 4 years ago and the final exam is still the same. I thought for sure Paul would have come up with something different by now.

I agree with Matt. Feathter the rig out before walking.

Paul did mention that the exam has been around for as long as he's been teaching. At this point, I believe it's become some sort of tradition.

He had our course assistant paint marks on the floor so the flats would be in exactly the same place every year. The only difference i saw was that our female agent was much hotter. :)
