Premium Members Dan Madison Posted July 23, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 23, 2014 Hello, Does anyone have any recommendation for cable suppliers where I could find a Lemo 3-pin (male) to AJA Micro-Con-X 2-pin (female) cable? I am hoping to power an AJA down-converter with power from one of the Lemo connections on my Archer 1 stage. I have located this: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/899646-REG/Laird_Telemedia_AJ_PWR8_01_Lemo_Split_Gender.html However, I am green regarding what a "split gender" connection is, and whether it would work with the Archer 1 Lemo 3-pin power outputs (female ports). Thanks for any advice, Dan
Premium Members Jarrett P. Morgan Posted July 23, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 23, 2014 The "split gender" (also known as hermaphroditic connectors) refers to the S-series of lemo connectors, popularized by Panavision, then Pro. The Tiffen rigs use B-series connectors for their sled. So that connector will not work. Any of the folks who make cables should be able to easily instruct you on the correct cable (Terry West, Alan Rencher, East Coast Cables, etc)

Some of the stuff they make is crazy. http://media.digikey.com/PDF/Data%20Sheets/Lemo%20PDFs/S&B_Series_Catalog.pdf

Premium Members Andre Trudel Posted July 23, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 23, 2014 I asked this same question a few months ago. I ended up buying a couple AJA D510PC Power Plug Assembly’s from B&H for 5 bucks each and a Ptap to D510PC. I have been looking for the Lemo connectors but have run into a bit of a wall. The Ptap works great but I would like an option that does not rely on the camera. Let me know what you find. I would greatly appreciate it. Premium Members Dan Madison Posted August 1, 2014 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted August 1, 2014 Hi Andre, I connected with Alan Rencher, and he built two cables for my rig. They both work perfectly. His email is in post #3, just above. Dan
