Mikael solheim
Hi, i am looking for a cheap steadicam for my Canon 5d mark ii. I have watched many videos from devinsupertramp, and I am really inspired. I have a really low budget. I can't use more than 250 dollar. Any suggestion for a cheap, but good steadicam? Premium Members Victor Lazaro Posted August 31, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 31, 2014 Hi Mikael, I would recommend you to save up a little bit more and go for a Merlin 2 at $399. You could go with a knockoff from China, but you might regret it and buy the real thing after. Buy it once, buy it right. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/839957-REG/Steadicam_MERLIN2_Merlin_2_Camera_Stabilizing.html Good luck! Mathias Lohne
I had about the same budget as you, and ended up with the Flycam 3000 MB. I have not had any problems with it, and for the price you just cant beat it. I have tested the Glidecam 2000, but I will say this is just as good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTFgTLd05M0 http://www.flycamshoppe.com/fc/FLYCAM-3000-MB-Hand-Held-Stabilizer-FLCM-3-MB.html
Matthew Marshall
I have to say I'm fairly new as well however I've used the Merlin and it works great for smaller cameras like a DSLR. Rock steady minimum sway and balancing is easy. (Like I said I'm a beginner) I wish it had suited my needs however it may suit yours.
