MDR3 bracket?

No pictures handy, I can try to get one later. If you have Cinelive electronics I recommend the Pro bracket that hangs the MDR upside down.

The problem is the Cinelive upper J box is larger than previous J boxes. It is both wider and longer, longer being the issue here, as the front of it is closer to the MDR. Even then, there's still barely enough clearance for cables on an MDR2, or the Pro MDR3 bracket. But the Preston MDR3 bracket puts the dovetail in the middle of the MDR, rather than the edge. So that puts the MDR even closer to the J box. There is no clearance for cables. 90 degree connectors would solve the issue. I had to mount the MDR3 backwards to use 90 degree motor cables. That works, but becomes an issue with power and on/off cable length, and with accessing buttons by the motor cables. So your best bet is 90 degree on/off and power cables, or a different bracket.

I am curious about the optical support one now.

I saw Jerry's mdr3 bracket prototype on Friday and I just gotta say that this is a must-have! Brilliant design! I love the easy quick-release to go quickly to handheld configuration and it will mount in any orientation to accomodate connectors, etc. I can't wait til this is ready!
