It also seems to not work all that well, considering the amount of shake evident in the video. Why not just mount the gimbal to a steadicam if you so desperately want to use it, or just use a steadicam by itself? People are weird... On my phone it seemed fine but its Friday so maybe I didn't see what u saw? I see device as helping people with limited arm lifting for daily life like veterans? Peace to all Janice I think the main point I am critical of is that the gimbal is not attached directly to the rig. Why the heck would anyone wear such a thing to get rid of the weight but then still carry it with the hands and risk your hands' joints?? Moderators Janice Arthur Posted September 17, 2014 Moderators Report Share Posted September 17, 2014 Hi all; Except for a helmet on the op and maybe gloves or knee pads I was more worried when he was running with both arms used on the first video. Running, as we know without the use of your arms, is very hard/dangerous. I think running or some vehicle assisted steadicam shot would have been a monster. The roller blades I think are a nice piece and the op can skate well. The lob sidedness of steadicam has always made it a hard device to run with was my opinion over the years at least the lifting here is done evenly. Let's see if anyone else can use the device? Facial reconstruction and perhaps some shoulder surgery may be on the agenda. Why not hire an Op that can hold the gimbal-contraption on their own accord? Gimbals are great for some shots, but kinda ridiculous how some guys are trying to reinvent the wheel. Innovation will weed out the crap.... which will then surface to PROAIM websites ha. I am not nor have I ever been the least bit worried about loosing my job because I get replaced by a MOVI (just like I'm not worried about getting replaced by a technocrane or a dolly or a hand held camera, they are all different tools)...................... But, I think those things (EXO Arms?) are bad ass! I'm going to look into getting a set. I do a lot of action stuff with steadicam, step on, step off, car rigs, running up and down stairs or off road, riding a bike with the rig and I have actually chased cars down a parking garage on rollerblades with an arricam and a 15-40 on my PRO. But there are TOTALLY applications for those exoarms. My 2 cents. P.S.
