Daniel Grey
Most importantly, Paralinx, as of this writing, is not owned by VITEC (which I consider to be a LARGE VAMPIRE SQUID that systematically buys up every good company we have in our industry and sucks every last drop of goodness out of them), while Teradek is owned by VITEC. When I have the time, I will post the sordid details of my laughably, tragically, preposterously ludicrous recent experience with Anton Bauer, which used to be one of our great companies and is now just another sad chapter in the VITEC takeover story. Not anymore :) And from what I hear there's a merger coming.. Paradek? Teralinx? Take your pick... http://www.vitecvideocom.com/Products/WirelessTransmissionSystems/Paralinx.aspx

Take your pick... http://www.vitecvideocom.com/Products/WirelessTransmissionSystems/Paralinx.aspx While the two companies will merge some operations, both brands will continue to operate separately in the market. There will be no Teralinx or Paradek ;)

Premium Members William Demeritt Posted March 19, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 19, 2015 Does the CW-7 have the same mandatory 60 second startup time? That's been my ONLY frustration with the CW-3 by IDX. According to IDX, to use DFS, they are "required" by the FCC to scan all frequencies prior to linking... so that means 60 unavoidable seconds from receiver power on to picture up on monitor. IDX claims it's an FCC requirement, and yet the Bolt 300, 600, 2000 and others that use DFS link in under 5 seconds from receiver power and still use DFS (probably links on a lower frequency in 5GHz and then swaps to DFS after 60 seconds). Otherwise, been very very happy with my CW-3. Swappable antennas, etc.
Premium Members Jens Piotrowski SOC Posted March 19, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 19, 2015 Yes, 60 seconds, but you get a very stable signal in return

Please send me an email at zachary@idx.tv and i'll send you the instructions. thanks! Zack

If you'd like to send it in, please email me. thanks! Zack
Troy Harrington
VidOvation has a few transmitters I would like to make you all aware of. We have a very economical link called the VidOlink 5G that will go 300 feet. More recently we've released the VidOlink Reacher which is relative to all the others listed above in this forum. We have yet to run a side by side test, but overall we were quite pleased with the results. Also, if anyone's interested, feel free to take a look at my company's "User's Guide to Wireless Video". Troy Harrington
.Has anyone ever run a side by side test between some of these transmitters? Does any transmitter consistently outperform the others for you? Edited April 7, 2015 by Troy Harrington
