Premium Members GerardSava Posted September 13, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 13, 2005 Does anybody know any clever fixes for Tiffen's 24v batteries for the Ultra once the cases have cracked around the screw holes? Don't pretend it hasn't happened, I couldn't be that rough on my stuff. Where the mounting plate meets the carbon case, the screws tend to pull through the hole releasing the plate to slump into the cells, making mounting of the battery to the rig impossible. I appreciate all of you who might offer suggestions of a washer between the screw and the case but know that anything that keeps the screw head from being flush will also keep the battery from mating with the rig. Simple cures that make me feel stupid would be appreciated. Blaming Tiffen is satisfying, appropriate and common but it is a bit of preaching to the choir, as it were.... Don't get me started......
