Premium Members Jerry Franck Posted December 18, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 18, 2014 Hello, I've been struggling with the rubber bumpers that are on the PRO Arm elbows. They just never stick well and keep falling off or sliding so that they become useless. I even replaced them with different bumpers or softside velcro pieces that didn't work out. What do people do to resolve this issue? Any recommendations to stop your arm from getting banged up? Thank you, Jerry

Premium Members Thomas Crescenzo Posted December 18, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 18, 2014 Here are some adhesive backed tapered bumpers: http://www.mcmaster.com/#95495k24/=v2z1jx I believe these are a bit larger than the PRO bumpers... might have enough adhesive surface area to stick. Premium Members Mike McGowan SOC Posted December 20, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 20, 2014 I struggled with that too. I ended up just using tape (not even fancy rubber tape, just 2" black gaffers tape... and it's not even put on neatly).
Premium Members William Demeritt Posted December 20, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 20, 2014 I've just covered the "wiggler" in the elbow and the part next to the socket with 2" velcro, soft side. The adhesive lasts forever, it's "padded" so it offers a small buffer, and we've always got lots of it laying around on set so you can replace it. Also, should you work on a show and need to be *GASP* tethered, you can run the BNC up the arm and use hard side velcro to pin the BNC cable in place.
