Premium Members Nicholas Davidoff Posted February 23, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 23, 2015 Yes, definitely interested in a cheaper, short range, additional receiver that will pick up a signal from the Bolt 2000 transmitter. Doesn't even have to be much smaller as the RX is small enough (but it would be a plus). There is definitely a demand for handheld director's and AC's monitors for use in close proximity to transmitter. In addition to the "Big" receiver with flat panel antenna as the main unit at the main video village. What say you on this topic Mike Gailing? PS - If I understand correctly, can I presently purchase a separate Bolt 2000 receiver so I can run two receivers off one transmitter? I've alerted those in charge of product development about this thread. I too would like to see a smaller, short range RX for our 2000 model. And yes, you can purchase up to 4 RXs to work with a single TX (applies for models 300, 600, and 2000).

Premium Members Jarrett P. Morgan Posted February 24, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 24, 2015 I think it is a wonderful idea! I am looking to buy a 2000 in the near future and this would be a wonderful addition to the kit.
Premium Members Andrew Ansnick Posted March 19, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 19, 2015 Add my name to the interest list for a smaller, less expensive, yet still easily paired receiver like this to add to my 2nd gen 2000 system! Premium Members christian gibson Posted April 3, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 3, 2015 Yeah, if there was a smaller, less expensive, shorter range RX for the 2000 I would get one as a 2nd reciever......
Premium Members brooksrobinson Posted May 6, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 6, 2015 Mike, Has there been any progress on a smaller/lighter RX for the Bolt 2000? Just wondering where things currently stand. I'm thinking about putting an extra RX together with a monitor for a hand-held directors monitor and something smaller/lighter and perhaps less expensive would be great. Thanks. Premium Members Mike Gailing Posted May 8, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 8, 2015 Update time!I just spoke with Nicol (CEO and Founder) and this thread is on the radar. Teradek is still in discussion about how to move forward with this, but Nicol did want me to ask you guys one question:Are you happy to continue using Gold mount batteries (or any large capacity batteries in general) for your directors monitors w/ Bolt or would you consider using more lightweight solutions such as Sony L series and the like? Now that we are part of a larger organization, we'd like to see how we can better shrink everything all at once for these handheld systems. So lets hear it!In other news, I have moved on from Teradek and now work for the Vitec Group. I will still be very active on here so I am happy to help any of you with the many brands under the Vitec umbrella. Just shoot me a message and ill make sure you guys are heard. Andrew Ng who was part of my marketing team at Teradek is taking my old position and will now be your best direct point of contact at Teradek - he'll be jumping on this forum very shortly.Andy will follow up with more info as he gets it. Andrew Ng
Hi all, I've been following SteadicamForum alongside Mike for the past couple of years. Mike has been in the most appropriate position to answer the majority of Teradek related topics, so I will do my best to continue the communication. For the past three years at Teradek, I have been in charge of creating video, photo and media content, from promo to tutorial. I've had the pleasure of already working/supporting many of you on and off set and hope to extend my support as I take on more marketing opportunities here at Teradek. I will stay on our engineers to see this through. Also awaiting your response to Mike's question! You are all also always welcome to direct message me or email andy@teradek.com.
