Kent Wiley Posted February 17, 2015 Report Share Posted February 17, 2015 Greetings all - I recently picked up a barely used Zephyr that the original owner purchased in 2012. The clamp at the bottom of the gimbal handle is so tight that I'm unable to open it by hand. Even when there is no tension from the hex screw that it screws into, it still will not open easily. The post clamp below this functions easily, without a problem. I'm wondering if the gimbal clamp should be this tight. Any thoughts? Many thanks for any input. You will have to adjust the tension set by the Allen most likely, so that you have enough grip, but not so much that you're in danger of clamping too tight. If you go too light, you can find your gimbal slipping north on the post leading to a very un-flyable and un-dockable mess :-) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
