Hey guys-- I need to buy new batch of bricks (and sell my Hytron 140s) and would like to make sure I am making the right move. Looks the the Digital 150s are cheaper and more powerful than the HCXs while only .2 pounds heaver. I am flying the PRO CineLive....should I go ahead and buy the Digital 150s or any other battery recommendations? Thanks!

From what I am seeing the Digital 150's are not available anywhere (yet)? Says "Coming Soon" on B&H and "Preorder" on Markertek.

I suppose the initial shock has passed, and the weight is definitely more in favor of the Digital series for power output vs weight. The size of the battery still seems sizable, but on the 150, probably worth overlooking.

@William Indeed I could not find them today despite AB initially saying release was supposed to be Nov. 2014. So I bought HCXs at Band Pro...

But Brian at Band Pro gave me word that the D150s are probably not all that great since the center of gravity is offset and they are also bulky bricks.

Hi Guys,

Just to update you and give you the correct information (:)), the Digital 150 and 190 batteries will start shipping in March. Anton/Bauer did go back to the drawing board on these batteries and squeezed them down into a smaller platform than was shown previously.

The Digital 90, which is currently available and shipping, will also be brought back to the infamous "drawing board" to try and get it down to the original size, shape and weight that it was supposed to be. Hopefully, this will happen some time by summer.

As always, feel free to contact me directly with any questions.

Thanks.

Paul
