Steadicam (Clipper) 12V to RED Dragon

Hello guys,

Does anyone know why the following is happening:

If I connect a Hawkwood VL-190 14.4V battery directly to RED Dragon
It reads - 14.5V on the RED Dragon Display
If I attach a Hawkwood VL-190 14.4V battery onto the Clipper and connect to the RED Dragon via a Lemo Cable (see attached image)
It reads - 13.4V on the Dragon Display and the Green 12V LED Flashes on the clipper.
Does anyone know why this is?
My first assumption is because the sled is 12V this has an impact but then Im confused to why its reading more than 12V on the Dragon display..?
This may be a basic thing I would just love to know why..?
Thanks for any nuggets of information!
Steve

Hi Steve

The Clipper 312 just has a 12v line - no 24v line. Batteries hot off the charger often show more than 12v. The flashing LED on the sled (usually to mean low juice) may mean nothing as this is a user adjusted setting that can be changed. It may be set to flash too soon on your sled.
