Mike Mohun
I put my steadicam scout in low mode with F bracket. Problem, the gimbal rubs against the handle. I know what is happening. The gimbal is separated by the handle by about 2mm. When I rotate the camera upside down the gimbal head snaps down and brushes against the handle top, thereby creating a friction rub. With this the steadicam does not rotate smoothly. My rig is about 17lbs. I decreased it to 7lbs but the gimbal still "slips" when upside down. It pops back when I rotate the camera back to regular mode and rotates smoothly again of course. Please advise.
