Premium Members pauldudeck Posted June 8, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 8, 2015 Hi Everyone, For those of you who came to CineGear this past weekend, I hope you had a chance to stop by and see the new XCELL batteries that Anton/Bauer was showing. These new batteries will come in 90wh, 150wh and 190wh and will be available sometime around September/October. As always, they are fully backwards compatible with any charger that you have that charges the DIONIC series of batteries. A chip upgrade may be necessary, but not a whole new charger! The XCELL batteries are made of carbon fiber and will only come in one physical size. Because we stack the cells differently internally, we are able to use the same exact footprint for a 90, 150 or 190wh battery, with only a slight variance in weight. List price will be somewhere between USD$450.00 and $499.00. Stay tuned for more information.... Paul D

Premium Members James Davis Posted June 8, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 8, 2015 Random question, do these only charge on Anton Bauers own brand chargers, or would they be compatible with say bebop gold mount chargers for instance? Premium Members pauldudeck Posted June 9, 2015 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted June 9, 2015 Hi James, As with all Anton/Bauer batteries, they will only charge on an Anton/Bauer charger. Regards, Paul D
Premium Members Jess Haas SOC Posted June 9, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 9, 2015 Jens, what do you have against the carbon fiber housing? Might look a little gimmicky but should be atleast as durable as the plastic they were using before.
Premium Members Jens Piotrowski SOC Posted June 9, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 9, 2015 Love the carbon, meaning it's a waste not to reuse it....

Premium Members Alan Rencher Posted June 10, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 10, 2015 They're shorter than Dionic, but they are thicker. The width is about the same.
Premium Members Ken Nguyen Posted June 10, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 10, 2015 Looks cool! I went to the booth, but I didn't see this one. I saw the "toy-like" baby-blue color batteries, which turned me off. Good work! Ken Nguyen.
Premium Members Tom Wilkinson Posted June 10, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 10, 2015 Hi all. Can you please tell me the weight of the 150 and 190 versions? They do look quite thick but it's the weight that counts...

Premium Members nick franco Posted June 10, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 10, 2015 Does it have cap screws on the face plate? Might be able to open it that way, but that would be wrong.
