Either that, or has anyone seen one (which isn't €12000!) for sale in the UK or Western Europe? Needs to be step on/off and seated and must collapse to a small size for roofbox style transport... Spread the cost out too and discuss plans as they are laid out. Now on the 'adviser' side if you are visiting with a spouse on a fun week and can budget a few days to help then it's a win for everyone. Planning ahead on the design you all agree on and time ahead to get the exact parts in would be good/essential in my book before anyone shows up to help otherwise the outcome is 'hey I told you to do this' and no one is accountable. No step on or off unless you remove the center post and I'm not sure if it's possible then but this is what we made. Sebastien got all the parts and my machine shop cut the rough lengths of the speed rail. None of this is hard but just a consideration. Cost, roughly $1800 us and I had the wheels. You can stand ,sit, change to different tyres . As for cost I would not think you would have much change from 5-600 pounds to make one . Good luck with it . We had it in the shop at PRO for about six months and I was thoroughly impressed with it. Very versatile. Those that rented it all expressed their approval of it and how well it handled. I have a basic design which needs looking at in terms if angles and structures etc. I'm looking at different materials as options but portability is key so it must collapse well. The â¬12,000 quote is a real one, though! You'd have to be crazy! You can by a decent car for that! Louis, I agree. I have hired Optical support's Mantis many times over the years and it's great. Unfortunately they don't sell them and I often end up in a situation where a rickshaw setup presents itself at the time rather than beforehand and I don't get time to hire one in.
