found this online- does anyone know how they are wired? SD? is the video line "tied in" to the 4 pin monitor out on the bottom box? it has James Lytle's name on it.....anybody know if he is a member of the forum?

 

can the boxes be upgraded to HDSDI?

any info would be great.

This is a SD system.

You can get the pinouts from PRO website.

If you own it and plan to upgrade to HD it is OK. It costs a lot.

Check it out at PRO for the cost.

But, if you plan to buy it then have it upgrade by PRO or someone else to HD, you don't save much.

Sorry to intervene but I had exactly this set up upgraded to HD by Gorka Rotaeche from Spain. He adds a thin HD-BNC cable and a HD-BNC out on the upper and lower junction box.

This is SD and can not be upgraded. PRO replaces the upper and lower junction boxes to update to HD, along with the cable and large Lemo connectors.

 

It's probably for sale because someone did just that to their sled.

I've heard cramped attic does a good job on these modifications and I would give Terry West a shout as well. We definitely don't do any SD to HD modifications at PRO. The best bet would be to buy a new Cinelive upper and lower and then plug it in and go to work.
