Teradek Bolt Sidekick - Lightweight Companion Receiver

Recommended Posts

Brett - I understand your request, will see if there is still some time to put in some input.

AB battery option is a good idea......... But only if there's a v lock version as well! Please!

Makes sense, I guess we shouldn't assume if they have AB mount, that they will also have V mount.

For the AB battery option, it would be great to have the sidekick rotated 90 degrees so its antenna points up when attached to a battery plate behind a DP7 monitor when the battery plate is set horizontally.

I agree!

The day has come!

As promised, Steadicam Forum members will have the first opportunity to pre-order the new Bolt Sidekick - a lightweight universal companion receiver for all current generation Bolt 300/600/2000 systems.

And, as an extra token of our appreciation, we’ve worked together with the SmallHD team to get you guys a sweet deal on a monitor to go-along. With a pre-order of any Bolt Sidekick (SDI or HDMI) and verification of a previously-owned Bolt transmitter, members will receive 20% off SmallHD’s AC7 OLED SDI monitor. No quantity limit. Discount also applies to the AC7’s Anton Bauer plate and monitor hood. You will receive a coupon code once your order is placed for your Bolt Sidekick.

Please use the following link to pre-order your Bolt Sidekick:

Also, note that AB/V Dual Battery adapters ARE available and you can find them under the Accessories/Power Options tab. Just select the Type as Sidekick Rx. Bolt Sidekick units will start shipping mid-October.

As a courtesy, I would like to let you know that our next set of pre-orders will go to our entire client base of current gen. Bolt owners. While that might include many of you on this thread, you can go to the top of the fulfillment list by ordering before the next wave. The next pre-order wave will most likely occur October 6th while public availability will be around October 13th.

Please feel free to follow-up with any questions here or directly.

Thanks,

Andrew

Thanks all!

Quick question: for the Bolt 300, apart from the number of outputs is there a difference with the sidekick and regular receiver?

Great question.

Other than not having the option for multiple outputs (SDI,HDMI & USB 3.0), there will not be frame rate/resolution conversion and most likely no test patterns.

Keep in mind, like the 300 receiver, you will still have an OSD using the toggle switch to allow for in-field pairing.

I don't mean to change topics on this thread, but I absolutely want all of you who are interested in the Bolt Sidekick to be invited to the Grand Opening of the Creative Solutions Los Angeles showroom.

I've posted in a separate topic in this forum, but for those who have given us feedback and supported us through the years, this night is for you!

The event will be on October 16th, 2015 5pm-10pm at 5329 West San Fernando Road Los Angeles, CA.

We've been working together with the Paralinx crew to provide the next level of direct connection between manufacturer and client. Not only will CSLA be a hub for Teradek products, but also our sister companies Paralinx, SmallHD and other Vitec Videocom brands like Anton Bauer, Litepanels, O'Connor, Sachtler to name a few!

Below you will find our "formal" invitation to the grand opening event. We will have all of the latest products from the previously mentioned brands, including all of our IBC announcements, including the Bolt Sidekick and our new Connected Set COLR workflow. And of course, food, beverages and goodies!

I hope to see you all there and to finally meet you in person!
