Premium Members Sanjay Sami Posted December 16, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 16, 2015 Has anyone successfully disassembled their U2 ? I need to check the video lines and am trying to avoid an expensive back and forth shipping from India to the US. Any advice appreciated. Premium Members Jerry Holway Posted December 16, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 16, 2015 Take off the stage - remove the forward tilt head lock first to gain access to the screws. There's a connection block and several video line connections (in line) just inside the top post. Fairly clear how to undo the block and cut the shrink wrap around the video connectors. You put it back together, you will need some shrink wrap and thin cord (I've used dental floss!) to help secure the block. Nothing too tricky, just go slow. Premium Members Sanjay Sami Posted December 19, 2015 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted December 19, 2015 I figured :-)
Premium Members Sanjay Sami Posted December 23, 2015 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted December 23, 2015 Very straight forward. Not sure about the shrink tubing. None that I found that needed cutting and hence none that needed replacing. All in all, not too complex .
Premium Members Jerry Holway Posted December 23, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 23, 2015 It looks like an upgrade, without a connector in the post. Good news.
Premium Members Alfeo Dixon SOC Posted December 23, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 23, 2015 I need to check the video lines Sanjay, are you having sporadic losses on your HDSDI line? Check your BNC Female connectors, they may need to be replaced or just pinch them inwards with needle nose pliers.
Premium Members Sanjay Sami Posted December 24, 2015 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted December 24, 2015 Will do. That maybe the issue, because there is no signal loss, yet I lose image sometimes.
