Sony FS5 vs Sony FS7

Not sure if the rental difference between an FS7 and a 5 would make it worth it. Maybe having one as an option of a smaller camera body for special shots or documentary, but not a whole fleet.

I own an FS5 and just shot a short film on an FS7. They feel like two totally different animals. FS5 is a light weight camera great for shooting in tight places or running around hand held all day. It would also be really easy to rig it in weird places or attach it to a UAV or a gimbal. FS7 feels more like a serious camera. I feel like Sony designed it to get built up like a F55 with their shoulder pad, rails, matte box and cine lenses.

That's great to know, thank you! We were also considering it as a B camera to the FS7 but it sounds great for handheld on its own.

Also thinking people would use it on the Movi since it's so much smaller.

So far though, Sony cameras haven't been as popular in our market. Not sure why... Let me know if you have any thoughts on that as well.

Thanks again!
