Premium Members Jarrett P. Morgan Posted December 23, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 23, 2015 I got the full quattro system about a month and a half ago and love it. I came from the cinetronic bracket. I have had no vibrations from the new bracket (though my old one isn't that bad either) but the cam jam one is much easier to adjust and holds better. In addition to being rock solid.
Premium Members Quaid Cde Baca Posted December 26, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 26, 2015 Solid set up. I have the full system all in one. I love it. It's my back up setup but I use it with a Boland monitor and batt on the back (~5lb monitor set up) and it holds up great! Same deal from friends that have it with an X-SBL 6"
Premium Members RonBaldwin Posted December 27, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 27, 2015 I've had the camjam telescoping bracket for almost a year -- very solid. I use a tb6 much of the time with no worries (just under 6lbs)
Premium Members Benjamin Verhulst Posted January 8, 2016 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 8, 2016 I bought the camjam bracket that just goes to the Pro spud a few years ago (without the telescoping bracket). I love the monitor bracket itself, no vibrations with my DP7 HB. However, it keeps spinning on the Pro Spud Receiver if given enough force (not a ridiculous amount of force either). I've gotten it mostly under control with lock-washers, but my nightmare is it coming loose on a vehicle mount or similar. Anyone else had this issue at all? Thinking of having a machinist try to add a key seat / keyway. Hope I'm not hijacking your thread Justin :)
Premium Members Matthias Biber Posted January 8, 2016 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 8, 2016 Hi Benjamin, that is one of the reason why the Quattro does not use the spud, which is a left over from the greenscreens. We can modify your yoke only with a guide pin, but your monitor arm also needs to be modified. The spud and the receiver on the pro monitor arm (and others) is just not the ideal way of connecting the parts at this position. Just my opinion. Premium Members brett.mayfield Posted January 8, 2016 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 8, 2016 I did the whole shabang at once and really like it. Best yoke and mount Ive used yet. My only gripe, and this is really minimal, is that one of the arms impacts the 12/24v toggle switch on the cinelive's lower electronics, so i have to inch the quattro's center post base up a little. but whatever. love it. Premium Members Benjamin Verhulst Posted January 9, 2016 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 9, 2016 Thanks Matthias - I should've reached out to you first - your customer service has always been first rate! I talked to Pro a while back about it too and they seemed to think it was because the spud didn't have the conical bit on the end that provides the surface area to lock down with. I might take you up on that guide pin. I'd go to the telescoping arms, but I really like the low profile I have now.
