I can not believe this has not been talked about yet...

Just shows how less people post here these days.

But man o man, like or hate the musical, FOX and the Grease Live production team just totally raised the bar on what is possible on Live Television.

After I get a chance to watch it again - solo - I will be sure to get back here with my opinions, but that was an epic production from the top down!

Very bummed I couldn't work on it

But my good buddies

Tore Livia and Ron Lehman were the operators and very much agree with the statement it was awesome !

Tores opening shot, was spectacular

They barely put the rigs down for 3 hours

They hopscotched locations so commercial breaks were close to non existent

The whole production was a lesson in how to do live TV.

Very proud to call them and everyone who did that show my friends and colleagues

One thing that made me curious about this presentation was that it seemed to have been shot in 24p with the shutter off (or maybe 270 degree). This created a certain amount of motion blur that seemed like an odd choice. Wondering if this was creative or helping beef up the stop. Rob, if you know anyone who might have the answer I'd be interested to hear what it was.

Hey Charles,

I'll ask Tore and Ron or one of the other camera guys, I can't confirm yet but i heard that they were archiving in 4K on a brand new 4k truck and down converting it to HD 1080 for air.
