Actioncam Vest broken arm receiver.

Recommended Posts

How is it attached? The standard that Pro, Tiffens, etc use is 5 or so smaller screws coming from the back. Theirs looks a bit different but can't be certain from the picture.

Innocinema informed me that Action Products is no longer in business. They might have one in stock though. Fingers crossed.

Do you think epoxy would hold this together until I find a replacement?

Epoxy probably isn't a great idea. If you can't get the proper socket block it may be possible to machine an adapter to mount a standard one. Cant really say how easy it would be without a closer look. Where are you located?

Don't use a broken socket block, even if welded, that's the part that broke in the video that everyone was talking about. There is a tremendous ammount of pressure on that part and it will give again if you try to fix it.

Look into using a Walter Klassen vest in the meantime, as they have the tilt socket as well (other standard vests won't work with the Action product arm)

Found a welder! Not pretty but works for the meantime. Hopefully I can still get a backup. I'll check out the Klassen.

I wouldn't use a welded socket block Michael. if anything, you might want to use a new one as main and the welded on as a backup (if you really really want to keep the broken one that is). adapter+standard socket (tiffen/pro) seems much more safer.
