Premium Members RobVanGelder Posted December 17, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 17, 2005 And send your rig to Thailand? Nah, better not. The support is made from the rods and support system from Vocas (matteboxes and such, made in Holland), they are normally screwed under matteboxes. Perhaps you can find a similar system in the US? And there is some metal from my making. The 2 AB plates are screwed together on this. Don´t forget to put in the heavy duty Sckottky Diodes when you make a 14/28 volt conversion. The internal wiring is more of a problem, it´s 14/28 volts switchable, so that needs some work inside. Mine was already done like that, I just needed to make a new connection to those wires and I used a 4-pin cannon for that, which should not be exchanged with any other 4-pin cable around! (dedicated pin config!) This setup allows me also the option to raise the battery-height when doing heavy low mode( so the batteries will point downwarts in the pictures above)
Premium Members GregSchmitt Posted December 17, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 17, 2005 hey Marc I have the tiffen master- a/b adapter plate kicking around the shop. I switched from a master series to a PRO and have no use for it anymore. If you want, you are welcome to use it until you can make the conversion permanently, if that helps you get through your show. Or if you want, keep it and make me an offer. greg schmitt 503.708.6868
