POWER CABLES WANTED

Hi

 

I'm interested in power cables for both 12V and 24V film cameras, any condition will be considered.

 

The cables need to fit my Ultra and dry hire Master but I will consider any sled fitting as I can always fit my own Lemos. Again, cable condition is not a problem as I can rewire as long as I have something to safely copy!

 

I've invested in a 24v power converter as I hope to find more film work here in the UK and make the jump from broadcast TV.

good to meet you at the show last week.

If its any help I would be happy for you to make copies of mine.

I have a list somewhere of most of the common pin configurations and plugs required.

I had some made up for the Steadicam and cranes by the guys at Marrell and am very pleased with them.

There are only are few basic ones to have but you will need some way of customising on site ie always take your soldering iron and meter. Reason being a lot of the UK film hire companies have their own way have wiring non standard.

I think you would appreciate that by the time you have sourced the plugs etc you may as well buy them off the shelf.

BTW wold anybody be interested in a male and female triax connector Kings 7705-9 and 7703-9.

What did you think of the Ultra Brite Mike ?

If u do get round to fishing those details joe...... anychance i could get a copy too?

 

i am just in the process of making up my own little load of cables.... sourced my lemos, fischers, 4pinXLRs etcetc. I would love to get some info with what pins carry what power into the cameras. every time ive had a camera and borrowed leads ive tried to measure with the old meter and make my own diagrams..... but i dont trust it.

 

I would definately get u a pint...s.
