Premium Members axel ebermann Posted December 23, 2016 Premium Members Report Posted December 23, 2016 Love my Exovest. But I feel that the socket blocked is just sitting a little bit too high for my taste.Aka the default position of the socket block / arm / sled is about 3" higher that I would like it too have.Has anybody come up with a 'socket block lowering bracket' for the Exovest ?Basically the Exovest equivalent of the IBaird Pro Vest bracket. Premium Members Tom Wills Posted December 23, 2016 Premium Members Report Posted December 23, 2016 Have you lowered the socket block to be as low as it can be - on the same level of the waistband? (see the bottom of page 7 of the manual here: http://www.tiffen.com/userimages2/Steadicam/LIT-815780.pdf ) If not, that seems like an easy solution. Quote

Lisa Sene Posted December 27, 2016 Report Posted December 27, 2016 Hi Axel, I typically fly with my socket block mounted in the "bridge plate jumping over the lower pivot" configuration on my Exovest. I find it puts the weight of the rig right over my own center of gravity, and feels most natural. It's a quick change, and can be done with the vest still on your body. Happy flying! Lisa Quote
