...it's amazing which video quality those cell phones can reach already today...

I think, it could be a good practice for every operator to walk on ice, focusing on your body balance and feeling the way you walk.

Btw. Job, those shoes look very sexy on you ;) :lol:

Have a nice weekend, Lukas

Hi all;

I have just done two jobs with ice/snow; an EA Ice Hockey Game commerical and a NorthFace commercial.

The first one I used the "All purpose snow cleat" on Matt Burton's site link.

They work good on ice but I only set up the rig wearing them and did not wear them while shooting. The entire crew used them to keep from falling on the ice of a hockey rink. (I used a sled to hard mount the rig and grips pushed/pulled me which is clearly the best way to do this.)

Just beware they wear down very quickly. You'll need several pairs for a day's work.

I just used the "YTraks" to keep from slipping on snow and slippery surface of plastic matts and snow. They were really good. I can't say what they are like on real ice.

I think you'd need real "spike" types for ice.

Good luck.

JA
