Looking for a Steadi-Mentor in the Bay Area

Hello All,

This is my first time posting in the forum. I'm a sports camera operator, and i've 2nd AC'ed before. I've always been fascinated by the steadicam look, and the work it takes to get the shot. I have an enormous amount of respect for the Operators who've been putting in the work for many years. I know first hand the physical toll it takes just operating any camera.

Whenever I meet an operator during sporting games, I make sure to pick their brain any chance they have time. I know taking a workshop would be my first step in beginning my Steadicam career, I've read the Steadicam Handbook back and forth. I've reached out to local Operators through social media to see if they need any assistance on productions, in exchange to shadow them.

So now i'm reaching out to this forum in hopes of finding an operator in the bay are who can potentially be a mentor. I'm extremely passionate, and professional when it comes to my work. Just looking to be an assistant so i could learn hands on. Thank you for anybody that took time out to read my post. Good Luck on your future Productions!
