Premium Members Dan Coplan Posted February 23, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 23, 2006 I'm down for grabbing Vietnamese food ahead of time if anyone else wants to join in. 8:00 for food and war stories and stroll on over to Red Lion after? Charles - any idea if reservations are accepted? I'm guessing on Friday night there could be a bit of a wait? Dan "Sticky Rice" Coplan Ok - I just checked and they don't accept reservations. At 8:00 on a Friday they said there could be a wait up to 30 mins. I would happily get there early to hold seats, but I won't be able to get there soon enough. Any volunteers? Premium Members David Allen Grove Posted February 23, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 23, 2006 Alec, Great! I'll certainly try and make it. Depends on my new "little boss." ha.
Premium Members RonBaldwin Posted February 23, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 23, 2006 Red Lion is indeed a cool place! Maybe there will be a waitress without teeth, or missing a limb to at least remind us of Jumbos? I'm working so I won't be able to make it. We'll probably be breaking for lunch about the time you are meeting -- I'll break into the Jameson's on the camera truck and toast y'all. Premium Members BJMcDonnell SOC Posted February 25, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 25, 2006 Hey Alec, I also am working. I will also toast up some booze to you guys since I can't be there. Have fun homies! BJ
Premium Members Charles Papert Posted February 25, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 25, 2006 That was a fun night. I'm just trying to figure out which one of you bastards hit me with a brick when I wasn't looking, at least that's what it feels like today. I'm thinking it was Baldwin, it's just his style. Charles, It was me. You looked like a quail and they made me check my my Dick Chaney signature edition fowling piece at the door. So I pulled a loose brick from the wall and let fly. But no one was drinking. No, zero, zippo. Jim "Ignatz mouse" Bartell

Moderators Alec Jarnagin SOC Posted March 2, 2006 Author Moderators Report Share Posted March 2, 2006 Well, back in NYC (gee, its not as warm here). Chas, Jim, Brad & Erwin - great seeing you guys again. Erwin, morning must have come quick for you (good thing you don't drink). Thanks for staying so late with the early call and all. Chas, that brick must have ricocheted off your head and hit me.... Collin & Ron - way overdue to put faces behind your names. Damn good time. David, sorry you couldn't make it, but with a new born, I understand. BJ, no excuses, mate! Goeff. I never realized that you were the former GPI engineer I used to talk to (somehow, I always thought you were "Jeff"). Great meeting you. And Dan, sorry we didn't get to speak more, but glad you came. Sorry I missed you at the ASC clubhouse & awards... fun time. Cheers,
Premium Members David Allen Grove Posted March 3, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 3, 2006 Hey Alec, Sorry I missed you and the others! It was one of those exhausting days w/baby.. I'm glad you were able to meet up with other ops though. It's always a fun time. Perhaps you'll make it back for Cinegear? Always a huge turnout of steadi-ops.
