Kelly SOC Posted December 11, 2017 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 11, 2017 Hi Community, I was an assistant for years so I experienced plenty of cold weather work but beyond the obvious practices does anyone know the actual failure data for our gear? Eg: At what temp will the oil in our gimbals fail? Anyone had a spring on their arm fracture? etc. Curious to hear any stories. Thx -AK
Premium Members brett.mayfield Posted December 11, 2017 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 11, 2017 i remember seeing photos of some very icy rigs and sets floating around in here somewhere. maybe theres a way of using heated lens wraps to keep your gimbal warm. saw this as well http://www.steadicamforum.com/index.php?showtopic=23686&hl=cold brett.
