Hi Al, I was interested as have heard (from whom I dont remember) that the back mount puts more stress on the two pins connecting the steel block to the arm. Ive heard about these failing even on arms connected to front mount vests so was just trying to see if I could circumvent the issue prior to any failure.

Purely part of my mild OCD..

I have a g70x so sadly I dont think there is an off the shelf option for me. I engaged MKV in knocking something up but didnt chase it and its probably at the bottom of a long list at the moment.

Id just buy the Klassen one if I had a pro. Purely for peace of mind.

Hope youre well. I was an assistant on Other Bolyen Girl many moons (a decade!) ago, not sure youd remember me though..!

Best

Dan.

Hey Dan, I remember meeting you at BSC but cant recall , are you a front mount or a back mount user? I saw a picture at your profile operating front mount but I might be wrong here. WK states that the rigid soc block is for both Pro and tiffen arms but you will be missing one of the 2 adjustments if you are a front mount user. cheers

It’s good piece of mind but I also think it performs better with the design of the back mount vest. The springs want to fold the arm into the vest which is great on a front mount vest but can be annoying on a wk vest because the arm can hit into the buckles. Overall I believe it gives a better sense of control with the rigid block.
