Is there ANY way we can get this guy banned? Like Eric pointed out, we have been nothing but nice to this guy in the past. His welcome has been worn out, as funny as this second page of the thread has been, it is 10 minutes of my life I will never get back. Please Leigh, do us all a favor and silently remove yourself from our community.

Your statement is wrong.

Leigh,

I assure you YOU are wrong, You are wrong in your assumptions, you are wrong in your statements and you are wrong to even try to Judge and offer advice here. We Tried to help you over and over, yet you kept posting dreadful videos each with the same issues that WE tried to help you solve.

You have worn out your welcome, time for you to go on your own, or for you to be banned.

BTW if your "Thing" truly is something of a professional matter I would expect to see it at NAB. What booth are you in? After all all of your competition will be there for you to steal their market share

[but the issue for me is that it will be conflict of interest. If I attend Tiffen Steadicam or Glidecam Workshop to learn their skill and later come back to get their market share. It will be unfair to Tiffen or Glidecam]

Is what you are saying here that if you work for (or make) Ford cars, you cant learn to drive in a GMC or BMW or Mercedes ?

Are you going to start off your own workshops so that any clients of yours (if there are any) dont have the conflict of interest as well ?

Just a thing as well, have a look at the guys who you are talking to here. They are all operators on big movies, tv shows etc who all know what they are talking about.

From your posts, you obviousley dont.

Is it just me guys or has this got a bit off topic from the origional SK2 Vs Flyer?

Maybe we should put a poll up or something and see what the population of this forum thinks should happen next. Just to keep it fair to all parties.

JP,

I see the point of those critical of Leigh.

The advices in this thread reflected each user's opinion on various equipment, and then suddenly there was an advice that these things can cause serious back injuries.

For someone like me who has never used body worn steadicams and glidecams, I rely in good part on sound advice from this forum's experienced professionals to make my decision, and therefore would not be able to evaluate Leigh's point. I am sure other newbies feel the same.

So, yes, I believe if there is wrong advice, it should be addressed immediately and explained by the other experienced members.

But, this has gotten a bit silly when Leigh showed concern about his ability to compete the Tiffen and Glidecam; and in the process many of the other experienced members become irritated by Leigh being presumptuous.

Hello John,

For now it looks like the V25 to be the most suitable model. The specs on the V25 are better than those of the Flyer. I am still wondering why Glidecam hasn't been adopted faster and more widely among operators if it is a better value.

But I've decided to take my camera to a steadicam workshop and a glidecam workshops for testing, before making a final decision. I agree with the other users about the need for the workshop first especially for a new user.

Thanks for all the advice guys!

Nick,

Nick, to get back on topic how are you getting on with your decision?

John.

Gentlemen,

My name is Michael Stevenson and I am a newbe to this forum. I have taken Peter Abraham's Flyer workshop and hope to become an operator in the very near future. It is an honor and a priviledge to be able to post and share information with such intellegent and experienced operators such as yourselves. And I just wanted to make one comment after reading this thread. You did and said the right things reguarding Mr Wanstead's posts. It proved to me that this forum has itegrity unlike some other forums out there. It's great to be around others who take this subject seriously and will not tolerate foolishness.

Sincerely,

Michael

P.S. Sorry if I went off topic but I felt it had to be said.

That has to be the worst contraption I have ever laid my eyes upon.

Sorry, but without even the pre requisite knowledge of dynamic balance

a person should not even attempt to design something as complex as a

Steadicam.

The first rule of engineering is understand the physics involved in the

system before embarking on a futile attempt at designing a solution for

a problem one clearly does not understand.

That thing is just terrible. Sorry but thats the truth and I had to say it.
