This is a (very difficult to locate) HARD DRIVE digital recorder, made in CANADA, "state of the art" equipment back when SD video was used on FILM camera to record/playback video assist. 

I bought 6 of those which were used extensively on many film sets across the EEC.

In Canada and the USA, those machines were also very popular.

I am selling 2 of those, which are still in perfect working conditions, just because I am not using them anymore...

But I am sure there might be rental houses or freelancers looking for a way to record SD (video assist) pictures on hard drives, without compromise, without using an SD to HD up-converter to record on "modern" devices such as Pix, Atomos, or any others...

* MPEG-2 recorder, using 60GB or 80GB hard drives (Hitachi-Travelstar)

* TWO hard drives mounting, 4x drives and caddies are delivered

* 20GB = +/- 8 hours recording time (video assist quality)

* OUTPUTS: 3x video, auto-terminated, 2x audio (balanced), 3x audio (unbalanced)

* MASTER to SLAVE link: one master recorder can start recording on any other (linked) recorder

* INSTANT playback, any speeds, forward and reverse modes

* AUDIO PB automatic shut-off while recording (no "Larsen" mode)

* "CIRCLE TAKE" mode

* AUTO increment for take/rehearsals numbering

* SEPARATE files for recording TAKES or REHEARSALS

* 9 separate "jobs" files assignable, with 250 scene files, and a maximum of 999 take files

* LOOP playback assignable (all speeds) forward mode only

* CONTROL MENU on built-in 6" LCD screen (+ optional on external video monitor)

* IN/OUT facility to playback only what you need to watch (no slate, just the action)

* 10 PLAYLISTS menu, to assemble your files and see a rough cut of your scene

 

POWER SUPPLY: from NP battery (NP battery holder delivered,  fits left side of the unit), external DC power (12-14.4v), external mains power supply 110-220vAC to 12vDC (delivered)
