Premium Members Aaron King Posted May 29, 2019 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 29, 2019 A question for Pro users who have adopted the M1 Volt gimbal and have been using a Pelican 1650 case. I've been using a 1650 case for the past several years and have it set up with two levels. The bottom I keep the Pro Arm, monitor and additional canisters. The top level I have the sled, docking bracket and additional plates. My question is, with the new thickness of the gimbal, have you been successful in still utilizing the 1650, or did you find yourself needing something deeper to compensate for the new dimensions and still have room for all your components? Thanks.
Premium Members JOSEPH B. HERNANDEZ Posted June 4, 2019 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 4, 2019 Unfortunately due to how thick the new gimbal is you need all the depth the case has. maybe you could have just one half of the case be able to have another level. Here is a picture of the insert I had done. But I carry my arm and vest in a separate Pelican 1650.

Freddie Whitman
Joseph do you keep your arm and vest in the same 1650? If so, would you be able to post a picture of the insert for that setup? Much appreciated. Premium Members JOSEPH B. HERNANDEZ Posted March 4, 2020 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 4, 2020 Innerspace Case in Los Angeles makes all my cases. I keep my vest and arm in a separate 1650 case it’s lined with carpet and foam for the lid. Hope this helps.

I might be trying to tackle the exact same setup soon so I'd love to hear if you found a successful method.
