Premium Members Gordon Li-Ron Posted April 11, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 11, 2006 I have a software program that allows you to screen grab live video off your desktop. I already captured this piece into an AVI file. Its about 25 megs. Its probably too big to email but if someone here has a ftp site, i could upload it for everybody to download. Its a great little segment. gordon

I've seen it once on TV. Sadly I missed the beginning. It was great fun to watch Garrett showing inventions out of his racks in his shop. Maybe you could get hold of the whole docu and make it downloadable? Gordon, I've done the same. I reduced it to 3,5 MB but I don't know what the folks at MSNBC think about making it public. Premium Members Chris Konash Posted April 11, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 11, 2006 Well I went to archives and inquired about the story and it seems that MSNBC did not do the original documentary, therefore it is not in there 'little computer' as having a master tape of it. I will be doing some more digging and get back to everyone. Does anyone know what network first aired the documentary and when? That would help my search. Premium Members Afton Grant Posted April 15, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 15, 2006 I believe www.steadishots.org people would be glad to host it. Alexandre I'd be happy to, Alexandre.... Although I should probably go look for these other "people" to which you refer. This goes for virtually anything that needs a home of some sort. These things pop up every once in a while. If anyone has a reel or scene they just shot or something they wish to share with the rest of the group here, just let me know. I'd be happy to put it up for us to check out. Any actual public reel/portfolio stuff you wish to show, you'd probably be better off using one of the services out there made specifically for that (SOA, demoreelnetwork). I have plenty of disk space for now. If more videos turn up, I'll make a future section of non-production, Steadicam related media.
