Buy steadicam

Recommended Posts

Hello Guys
This is Yufan who is new to the group wanting to buy a used steadicam, which can fly with most of cine cameras. Unfortunately through one week searching which one is suitable for me,i still have no answer for myself, but there are some notes about what i need.
first,i need a whole setup of steadicam, second,i need the steadicam which can support around or above 50lb(not Zephyr),third,i need to check the equipment in person,so i prefer the equipment in West Coast(LA would be the best),but i also can accept the rig in anywhere of US,if your rig is really good,Last but not least,i do not want the quality of equipment look bad.
if you guys want to sell your own rig, please PM in any time,or if you guys can give me good suggestion that would be great, thank you so much.

HI Yufan.

Did you find a rig? I do have a complete steadicam kit that is very versatile and professional. It was formerly Stephen Campenelli's. He used it on many Clint Eastwood movies. It's a MK-V 2" carbon fibre post with a Pro gimbal and Betz top stage. It also has the amazing Alien Revolution. The monitor is the Transvideo 6" cine with gyro level. It has the cam-jam monitor mount. The arm is a very nice GPI Pro arm with 8 canisters. This can carry everything from a mini to a 3D film rig. Walter Klassen back mount vest.

Did you ever find a buyer for this?

Hi Yufan

I writing you from the wonderful town of Copenhagen ; where we have had more than 10 workshops last 2 one on Kronborg Castle with Garret :)

We are so lucky to have this Master Rig for sale - unique and not much used

Now re-priced! 12.800 Dollars price is fixed more or less

Master sled that we (Hofmann Teknik in Sweden) have re-build completely! The Master sled is used very little approximately 50 times – looks almost new!
More than 1,3kg (2.5lb) rails and electronics lighter (and shorter). Please see last picture of all parts removed. If you look up an original Master sled picture you will see the difference - massive!
The 3kg (6.6lb) tube monitor replaced with a brand new 1kg (2.2lb) TVLogic SRM-074 (1500nits). New total weight of the sled (w monitor) is a mere 5kg (11lb). Power and video infrastructure replaced with direct leads, so HD-SDI compatible and no power loss.
V-mount battery mount. The master arm is as you can see in also very good condition
Including of course Master arm and vest. Max capacity is around 25kg (55lb) camera - so not job is too big! Comes in two flight cases. Two dovetails and a lot of other bits and pieces.

We are able to ship worldwide.

If you are interested I can send pictures - I have not downloaded them yet - too difficult :)

peter@hofmann.dk

Best regards

Peter
