Alex van Putten Posted February 1, 2021 Report Share Posted February 1, 2021 Apparently Betz has adapted a volt to a 50mm gimbal, which is 1.969 inches (so close!). Gives me hope that it'll soon be adapted to a 2 inch, to be used on a XCS post. But it's all quiet out there. Is anybody actively pursuing it? Greg Bubb? MK-V? XCS makes this post with either XCS or PRO connectors. Alex, physics requires a smaller post will be slightly less rigid, but a wound carbon fiber post will be significantly stiffer than an aluminum 1.5" post. XCS does not compromise quality. Greg Bubb can give you the exact specs on stiffness for the 1.75" post. It's the only way to mount a M2 Volt gimbal on an XCS post. Like many, I've waited for someone to make a 2" version of the Volt, because I didn't want to give up my XCS post. The XCS solution of making a 1.75" post is a simple, yet elegant solution. With carbon fiber posts, there are a host of factors affecting stiffens, and stiffness can be quite different form one post to another, even if the first two factors (OD and ID) are identical.
