Premium Members Lars Erik Posted June 11, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 11, 2006 Alec you are so correct! the old archives from the old mailing list are GOLD! they have to be searched from within that particular archive.. its seperate from the forum. And weren't we supposed to LIMIT the "Me too" or "I totally agree" type of post's as they just clog the forums and search's...hmm? Yes we are. It's interesting to go thru the board as we are see which posters do that the most, and those that do, do it alot. Go digging thru the archives and you don't really see much of that. Hrmmm....

Premium Members Dan Coplan Posted June 28, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 28, 2006 Seems to me the forum does a pretty good job moderating itself. When I first got on, I went through the archives before posting because I'm a VFPD (Veteran Forum Post Dude) from other forums. But my excitement with this community led to me posting a bit excitedly. I got bashed over the head with foam bats a few times and have now settled into moderate, thoughtful posting (well, I think it's thoughtful...). Newbies are appropriately directed by the members on this site and when someone swings the foam bats a bit too hard, the community tries to settle it down. Spam is a whole other issue, but I think the forum works very well. The only thing I'd like - not sure if this makes sense or not - is to be able to delete posts that I've made personally so as not to clog the forum with useless text.
